Blue Skies, Warm Sunshine, Long Days, Freedom, and... Humidity.

It's official!! Summer time has come to play!
I love this time of year. But who doesn't?!
Here in Louisiana it starts feeling like summer when most places still have snow on the ground. We're lucky :)
To me, summer = memories.
Memories of the first snow cone of the year, going tubing in the lake, jumping off the rope swing, crabbin, being barefoot, eating ice cream, going fishing, hitting the beach, looking at the stars, watching fireworks, getting that first iced white chocolate mocha of the summer(mmmmm!!), playing capture the flag, hide n seek, and swimming all hours of the night, riding with the windows down, getting sunburned, and around here, being drenched in sweat from just standing outside(could've left that one out....ha).
But obviously, I. LOVE. SUMMER!
So here's a little tribute to one of the best seasons ever. Period.
SUMMER:

Forgot to mention the whole hanging out with family & friends, travelling, having freckles stand out, wearing t-shirt & shorts, having tan lines, going on picnics, painting your nails with bright colored polish, wearing summer dresses, popsicle colored tongue part.... ;)
I hope this helped get you a little bit excited about the next few months.

Henrik William

Today my nephew, Henrik William Bowers is a week old!
About time I put some pictures of him on here, huh?!
Don't be surprised when you see his face all over this girl's blog. He's kind of a big deal over here :)
Little Henrik:

I'm not sure he'll ever realize just how loved he is!!

Gobstoppers

If I had to pick something that best describes my cousins and I, it would be Everlasting Gobstoppers.
This candy was based off of a fictional candy described in the book, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory....(enough with the history lesson, eh)
When you get a hold of this candy something fantastic happens!! You never lose it. It's there forever. It has the same great flavor and texture each time you put it back in your mouth!
Now how does this have anything to do with my cool cousins and I??
We live miles and miles apart, only see each other a few times a year, and are constantly going through changes in our lives. Yet, no matter how infrequent our visits are, we are able to pick up right where we left off(just as close and crazy as ever)!
Just a few shots from our last time together:

Having two cousins that double as my best friends and perfect models is pretty sweeeet :)
