What a Job

Today I began my summer job.
"What exactly is that?" you might ask. I'll answer in just a few words:

Yep I get to hang out with two of the cutest, sweetest, most silly kids (who on some days might be a cowboy, chef, bumblebee, or princess) almost every day this summer.
Let me tell ya, it's quite a job! ;)

Karsyn's 1st Birthday

This little angel has been bringing smiles and inspiration for a year now! I'm excited to see what great things God has in store for this precious girl. Happy First Birthday, Karsyn Angel Lynn!!

All in the Family

It's hard to believe that one family could have so many beautiful members, but each of these Caldwells could easily get into modeling.
This was the the first family for me to shoot, outside my own, and I was so grateful for the chance!! Thank you Caldwell family for pretending with me, as I figured out how to take pictures of more than two people at a time ;) Y'all are the best!!

Beautiful?

Something in me has caused me to always see the beauty in people. This might be considered a curse... or a blessing. A curse in that I rarely see how people could wrong me. A blessing (which I choose to see it as) in that I see something good in everyone.
Photography is a job in which you need to see the beauty in others, capture it, and put it on display for all to see. This is why I love taking pictures! Everyone has something beautiful about them. From the way their eyes can smile without ever moving their lips, to an inner beauty shining from the inside out.

Today I want to challenge you to look for the beauty in others. It's not much of a challenge, but when you realize how God has made each person beautiful in unique ways, you realize the love and special attention He has given us. Maybe it'll even make you love that person a little more when you notice how much He loves us! So here's to a beautiful day =)

The Boys

"If I were a real photographer, what would I do...?" This is a thought that goes through my mind before each snap of a picture. I plan, and think, and search, and then.... I wing it. Being pretend is much more fun than being professional.
These were the last of the Caldwell clan to have their pictures taken. They are what beautiful pictures are made of (and make you look like you know what you're doing). Corbin and Brock, thanks for being SO cute!

Big Brother and Big Sis

The day was a challenge within itself. Overcast and threatening to rain on our photo shoot, we rushed from location to location, not allowing the weather to get us down! Thankfully, the sky held back and I was able to get a few shots of these beautiful/handsome people. Did I mention how cool Cason and Tristyn (aka Kenzie and Karsyn's older siblings.) are??

Note: These were, once again, taken with my Sony Cybershot :)

Ruffles and Balloons

My next project came in the form of two adorable sisters, Kenzie and Karsyn. Their mom wanted to have family pictures done, and asked me (to my astonishment) to take them.
Since they have 6 children in their lovely family, I decided to take them two by two.
Here are the precious models:

You love them too, I just know it!
